About Us

The StFYC Intl Yacht Racing Foundation (501(c)3) focused on helping the non-professional and non-Olympic class sailboat racer. Over the years, the cost to put on one design amateur regattas has skyrocketed. We offer a vehicle for tax deductible giving towards the actual expenses of putting on the regatta. So, sailors and other interested parties can “donate” and help make the regatta happen. Recent success stories are the 2023 Women’s World Match Racing Casa Vela Cup, the 2023 Morgan Cup out of New York Yacht Club and the 2024 International Knarr Championship in San Francisco. In each of these events donors helped defray many of the costs associated with putting on the regattas and got a tax deduction for it! We are currently fundraising for several regattas and will have more information as our partnerships with these regattas gets solidified.
